Kenya Mobile Health Cornerstone Trip Video – July 2010
In July 2010, a four-person Kilifi Kids team traveled to Kenya on a “Cornerstone Trip” to kick-off the next phase of our work. The trip focused on developing solutions to coastal Kenya malnutrition issues in young children. The solutions use mobile health, or mhealth, technology to improve public health services implemented at the district and community levels in Kilifi.
While there, the team built new partnerships, strengthened existing relationships, and planned the future of the Kilifi Kids partnership in Kenya. Additionally, the group teamed with partners to provide de-worming medication to over 30,000 children in the region.
The below 6-minute video, narrated by Kilifi Kids’ Erik Michielsen, provides an overview into the Cornerstone Trip, community, team, and initiative bringing improved health to thousands of Kilifi District children.
